John Fain is a Master Firearms Instructor, Force-on-Force Instructor and an industry authority on Defensive Tactics, specializing in edged weapons, firearm retention, and hand-to-hand combat. A full-time educator with more than 20 years professional experience, John has extensive experience training civilians, local, state and federal law enforcement as well as United States Armed Forces and foreign military. He is also a certified Executive Protection Specialist who graduated from R.L Oatman & Associates.
John is the Program Director at Triumph Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, which he founded in 2007. A 2nd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has trained some of the most accomplished grapplers and MMA fighters in the world.
John earned a clinical MSW from Boston University and is a former professor of psychology and sociology. He has extensive experience working with federal parolees as well as pre-adjudicated and convicted perpetrators of violent crimes.
John is a proud member of the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) and life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
